Whanganui Midweek - 2021-07-21

Rep Talk

It all started when Jason’s uncle (the owner) offered him a job at Pirtek North Harbour. Not keen on living in Auckland, he decided Whanganui was a much better place to live and started the PIRTEK franchise in 2005. Business steadily grew through perserverance and good service. Jason all this time was working out of the back of a small truck with no dedicated workshop. In 2011 he purchased another vehicle and took on an employee to help out with the increased workload. Business grew consistently until the need for a workshop became apparent and so he rented a small property in Wilson Street in 2012. This included a showroom which promoted some of the lesser known PIRTEK products such as environmental spill kits, and the Valvoline range of lubricating products. The showroom and small workshop was a success and resulted in the employment of an additional two staff members, bringing the total number of employees to four. The vehicles now inluded a small truck and two fully equipped four wheel drive vehicles. After a period of time business growth dictated that a bigger premises was required. However patience on Jason’s behalf to secure the right location found a new building being erected at 39 Heads Road after a couple of years too many at the old address. With a purpose built workshop and ample parking business continues to grow. Pirtek Wanganui consists of a dedicated and passionate team of people who will go out of their way to keep you operating. We have many loyal customers and have formed some great relationships along the way. The support is appreciated and we are here for the long term. When PIRTEK Wanganui first started in 2005, it was wih the support of farmers in the Rangitikei/Whanganui district that helped to grow the business. When COVID-19 struck it was those farmers who supported us. The team at PIRTEK Wanganui says a big thank you to them all.
