Double gold for treasured honey

Top honours have been awarded to local Te Awamutu-based Ma¯nuka honey producer Ma¯nuka Health New Zealand, crowning its pinnacle product, a precious singleorigin ultra-high-grade ma¯nuka honey. New Zealand’s pre-eminent beekeeping and ma¯nuka honey producer Ma¯nuka Health was awarded gold medals at two recent award ceremonies for their rarest honey, Pinnacle Harvest MGO 1288+, a luxury high-potency, limited-edition ma¯nuka honey. Ma¯nuka Health Pinnacle Harvest MGO 1288+ was awarded a gold medal in the packaging category at the annual Apiculture New Zealand 2021 National Honey Competition for its originality, innovation and presentation. The luxury packaging, designed by Peter Radich and beautifully printed and hand-crafted using sustainable materials by the team at Logick Print, also received a gold medal at the Pride In Print Awards 2021, recognised as top in the Luxury Products packaging category. “These awards are a fantastic recognition for this treasured product of ours. Our beekeepers work extremely hard to harvest this precious natural resource and it is rewarding to see our rare harvest packaged so thoughtfully for our consumers around the world,” commented master beekeeper and supply chain general manager Dave Campbell. “Pinnacle Harvest MGO 1288+ commemorates our rarest, most extraordinary ma¯ nuka honey harvested during the 2019 season. We have carefully nurtured the honey with patience and expertise for 18 months to bring out its unique qualities. The result is a rare and special type of liquid gold.” With only 1288 units produced, each hand-crafted box holds a glass diamond-faceted jar of Pinnacle Harvest MGO 1288+, individually numbered with a certificate of authenticity. Accompanied by a miniature coffee table-style booklet and rose goldplated spoon, the single-vintage ma¯nuka honey makes for a precious and unique gift. “This small-batch honey has been hand-packed to best preserve and protect the superior natural compounds to bring you as close to nature as we can. Our Pinnacle Harvest is so rare, it celebrates the highest 0.001 per cent of our ma¯nuka honey harvest,” said Cambridge resident Dave. “It’s a great reflection of our entire range of premium ma¯nuka honey and the care and quality we uphold for our consumers to experience”.
