Mulled Wine Concerts present two rising stars of the wind instrument world in Paekakariki on Sunday 25 July. Pianist David Barnard (Head of Accompanying at the New Zealand School of Music) will be joined by clarinettist Ben van Leuven and bassoonist Eli Holmes for an afternoon featuring some of the seldomheard wind instrument repertoire. Russian composer GlinkaTRIO alongside solo and duet works by Poulenc and Debussy. Memorial Hall, Paekakariki. on Sunday 25 July 2021 at 2:30PM Tickets: $30; $15 students. Lixin Zhang, first-ever NZ recipient of the Silver Medal at the prestigious Gina Bachauer International Young Artist Piano Competition in the US, will perform Chopin, Mozart and Liszt for the Waikanae Music Society. Kapiti Chorale presents a selection of early Handel composed during his Italian sojourn, coupled with excerpts from his famous oratorio Samson and the Coronation Anthems. Soloists are Caitlin Roberts the current Kapiti Chorale Award winner, Mezzo soprano Ruth Armishaw and a Chamber orchestra led by Mary Taylor.
